Greg,

Double check that 5V is getting to the FP board. The 5V supply is on the
CB and routed to the FP via P1-18, as I understand the schematic(s). If
5V is not getting to the various components on the FP double check
plug/jack soldering, and also look for bent pins. This might also be a
good time to look for components that may be installed in the wrong
place or oriented improperly. Especially ICs, diodes and transistors.

Running through all the DC voltage checks, see table in back of manual,
may also help to reveal the problem.
