It is likely an OK setup, but ...
If you can get your hands on an antenna analyzer, it may be informative for
you to see what the impedance is looking into the coax end of that balun
(the 6 inch coax will not have any significant influence at the HF bands).
It may be that you would be better off using a 1:1 balun rather than a 4:1 -
it all depends on the length of the 450 ohm line and the frequency of
operation.
That 450 ohm line can have anywhere between a VERY low impedance and a VERY
high impedance at the point where you have connected the balun.
So whether this is a good configuration, we really can't say -- it all
depends ...
You may even be better off feeding the loop directly with coax (no balun at
all is recommended by some users of loop antennas - even for multiband
operation).
