Good Afternoon (Evening) Folks,
Another weekend has arrived and you are cordially invited to participate in the Elecraft CW Net. This is an informal net to acquaint folks with one another and with
the band conditions. After the net please feel free to contact anyone you could hear during the net. I normally run around 13 - 15 wpm but you can run faster
than that. Expect me to as for a fill now and then if you do so. This week I will be a bit tired during the net because I am working comm for the Hood to Coast
relay run from midnight until 7 AM. I will try to get some sleep but I never was able to switch my sleep cycle at the drop of a hat. I may be foggier than usual
(now that's saying something! :)
I will call the net first as "Elecraft Net" and then alternate this with "ECN". If you are called upon to relay check ins please feel free to shorten the name to ECN.
ECN = Elecraft CW Net
Saturday at 6 PM PDT (0100 Sunday for the UTC folks) I will run the Elecraft CW Net on 20 meters 14050 kHz or if that's busy I'll move up until I find a spot for us
to use. If you would like to check in without comments just add QRU.
Then at 7 PM PDT (0200 Sunday) I will start at 7050 kHz and move up until I find an open spot, avoiding the Canadian SSB net on 7055 kHz.
During each of these nets I'll ask a station to call for check ins. Just relay them back and we'll see how many folks we can gather.
I'll post the results here when my K2 has cooled and I get in from the garden.
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net control operator 5th class).
