Good Day,

I just wanted to pass along a  comment on a recent change to my K1. During the
CQWW WPX contest I noticed several signals that jumped a little in frequency from
time to time. I didn't know it was my K1 that had the problem until I touched the tuning
knob and received tone jumped up then back in pitch. If I moved the knob side to side
the received pitch would change which meant my signal could also be jumping a small
amount.

I replaced the original 10 turn pot with Mouser 652-3540S-1-104. The frequency
jump is gone and the tuning is much smoother. The radio has a new feel that seems
very solid.

I have followed  this list and included all the approved mods but this is the best
change I have made so far. If I had known the difference it would make I would have
made this change during the building process. If you had any doubt if the effort would
be worth it, just do it. You will not regret it.

K1 at 5 watts to a vertical - 67 countries worked on 40 meters and 44 confirmed.
