I just started and haven't been following this thread much. If it hasn't
been mentioned. A hand written letter means far more than any email or phone
call to our elected officials.

Just for discussions sake. A few years ago when this technology first was
discussed. I asked our telephone man at work about it. We ran telephone over
500KV lines using a carrier. He groaned and shook his head (like Lurch).
Then said: You see that room over there? It's full of filters. Then groaned
some more. From my understanding of the hassle they have with BPL. I can't
see them competing with the optical networks in this country. Seems like a
lame technology to me... already obsolete before it has begun.
