When I first cranked up my K2 (almost 4 years ago!) I was using a cigar
lighter type plug into my DC power supply and I found that there was a
large voltage drop through the connection.  It may have been due to the
cheap RS cigar lighter connector I was using, but it was far from
optimal.  You may encounter this in your setup.
