[Elecraft] Beware of a K2's AF GAIN Control Modification!

My AF Gain control was getting real noisy lately. So I decided to make the
suggested modification by Wayne. Making the mod is not so easy because the
whole K2 has to be taken apart, several PC board traces have to be cut and
rewired. The result was: My AF Gain potentiometer was just a noisy after the
mod as it was before. Quite frustrated about this, I sprayed some contact
spray between the plastic axle and its metal bushing - this solved the
problem! I guess the problem was just - static charges within the pot!

In any way the K2 + KDSP2  is a great transceiver for CW!
