For the most part, I would think this would make sense. Make
the base-K2 complete with all additional pieces-parts, if possible,
and include the male connectors and a few other parts so that=20
the option boards could be jumpered out until they are later
built and installed. I think someone made "UN-MODULES" just like
that -- jumpers and resistors and things on male connectors.

This idea could be more of a hassle for Elecraft -- it would
require redoing bills of material, manuals, errata sheets, etc...
So I doubt it would happen. However some List member may
want to compile a master list of parts and post it, and people
could just order them.=20
Tip: I installed my KSB2 and installed the mic header jumpers=20
straight-across. Then, when I got the Heil MH2 (Elecraft)
mic, I installed the required resistor into the male mic
connector shell instead of at the header, in case I ever
want to use a different mic without opening up the K2.=20
