[Elecraft] XV Questions...

I have been perusing the "beta" manual for the XV series transverters and
have a few questions.....
1. When the K60XV module comes out (soon hopefully), can/will the XV series
transverters be able to be driven with it? If so, will that address the
isolation problem in #2 below.
2. Since I have the KAT-2 and the manual states that not to use the
ANT1/ANT2 outputs to switch between the transverter and the HF antenna, does
that mean that I should...
a) Disconnect the other antenna before using the transverter, i.e. the
transverter is hooked up to ANT 2, so I should disconnect ANT1 from the K2?
or,
b) Install a switch/relay on the HF antenna (ANT1) to isolate the antenna
while I am using the transverter?
3. How much isolation is required for the antenna switch/relay in #2
above?
4. The block diagram shows the use of a "TX key" with a single antenna
system RF Power Amp. I am assuming that this is connected to the relay jack
on "brick" type amps. I have really never used that function on any of the
bricks that I have used - have always just let the brick sense the RF and
then switch in. Is it "manditory" to run this line? Not a big deal if I
have to, but was just curious.
5. Is there a possibility for XV transverters in other bands - specifically
432 MHz? Or mayber 903/1296 MHz <grin>?
6. I noticed in the manual that you can identify up to 4 XV transverters,
but the current firmware in the K2 only allows for 3 - will the next K2
firmware allow 4 seperate transverter bands?
I need to get a new 2m SSB/CW "rig" and right now I am leaning very heavy
towards the XV144 - I think that the marrage of the K2 with its GREAT RX
and a well made transverter is an IDEAL combination for weak signal VHF/UHF
work!
