I believe that the DSP should have no effect on the S-meter=
 setting.
What does have an effect is switching between the KSB2 filter and=
 the 
variable B/W filter, due to the losses thru that filter.
On my K2 it is about 6dB which makes quite a difference to the 
S-meter.
