[Elecraft] Re: QRP Dummy Load

Hi

I have several and experiment with different types from time to time. I =
think this should be another Elecraft product.=20

This is about the only thing absolutely required to complete your kit =
that does not come in the kit so I think Elecraft should offer it as an =
optional kit. A QRP version for the K2/K1 and a QRO version for the =
K2/100

How about one of the Ohmite 51 ohm resistors on a small heatsink in a =
small box with a BNC connector good for 20 or so watts.=20

Or even simpler one of the PC mount BNC jacks like in the K2 on a small =
PC board with one of the Ohmite 51 ohm resistors and a TO-220 heatsink. =
You would connect it with a short BNC to BNC cable. Should be fairly =
cheap to kit up

Or several of the Ohmite resistors on a PC board with TO-220 heatsinks =
or screwed to the case.=20

This could go into a KRC2 size box.=20

Maybe fit one of the little KPA100 fans to it for cooling when used for =
QRO. It should be able to run 100 watts for a short time for use on the =
KPA100.

I would buy one just because it says Elecraft on it and it would match =
my K2/100

Would there be any interest in a simple Elecraft QRP dummy load kit?
