[Elecraft] K2 A to B upgrade

Barry,

I've done several A to B upgrades, for myself and others, including XTAL
upgrades. The comment I hear most is: WOW, what a difference! The new
XTALs are more closely matched which yields less passband ripple, better
filter shape symmetry, and perhaps a slightly steeper skirt (I don't
have the sophisticated test equipment to prove the last point). All this
leads to a much better listening experience of signals in your passband.
Signals sound more even and clear, good for working off frequency
stations during contests. And, better rejection of signals near or on
the edges of you passband. For $15 it's worth the effort, and if you
haven't already done it, using the short lead, double grounding, adds an
incremental benefit as well. It improves the overall rejection
characteristics of the filter in the presence of strong signals.
