[Elecraft] K2 IOC ver. 1.02 Question

Hi all:  Am just upgrading my K2 firmware from 2.01h which came with the
original K2 (#2528) to 2.02h which came with the KPA100 kit.  I am doing
this as a part of the A to B upgrade instructions.  To my surprise, the
Section 11 ("Firmware Installation") instructions tell me I need to
upgrade The I/O Controller ("IOC") if my version is 1.05 or earlier.  I
have version 1.02.  I guess I'll have to order the latest.  The question
is, will this thing work if I stay with my 1.02 to do the alignments?
Should a later version of the IOC have come with the A to B upgrade kit,
or was it intended that I order it separately?
