[Elecraft] Recieve Loss

Hello All

I have developed a unique problem. During a short contact with a local
friend the other nite there was a strange sound from the K2 and the reciever
went dead. While inspecting the antenna I recieved a pretty good jolt while
disconnecting the antenna. The antenna is a hustler 6BTV vertical  using  my
well casing as a counterpoise.
  Upon closer examination I measured approx. 62 VAC from the coax sheild to
ground .. I'm sure this is what trashed the reciever but I'm not sure where
to start looking... Any Ideas??
