I just measured the voltage on pins 5 and 1 of U2 on the control board in
various configurations.  Band was set to 40 meters LSB, R1 is ~33.8k
(original 51k in parallel with 100K) and the output of the 8V regulator
is 8.35 volts.

AGC on, RF gain fully CW:
U2-5 = 3.87 V
U2-1 = 3.80 V

AGC off, RF gain fully CW:
U2-5 = 3.87 V
U2-1 = 3.44 V

AGC on, RF gain fully CCW:
U2-5 = 5.15 V
U2-1 = 4.73 V

AGC off, RF gain fully CCW:
U2-5 = 5.15 V
U2-1 = 4.69 V
