[Elecraft] New to K2

     My YL has decided to grant me my wish of a K2. However, funding is short (harmonic on the way). My idea is to get and build the options, one at a time each month. Once that is done we'll see what it will take out of the bank to get the main unit. 
     I beleave this method will keep me on track with "savoring the moment" and taking my time with the building. I'm guessing I'll be ready for the BIG one around winter. 
     Has anyone else built theirs like this? I was wondering other builders might have for advice on this subject.
