[Elecraft] K2 bring-up

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the response. I'm getting there (I think...).

Q4 (another 2N7000 - I don't have much joy with those...) was u/s and the 8
volt receive rail wasn't going away when I keyed the TX. Now fixed - good
job I've got a drawer full of the buggers!

I also lifted C121 so as not to drive the PA when hitting the key. That
allowed me to probe earlier parts of the circuit without the uP resetting.

I'm still having problems around the TX mixer with a nice fat VFO signal on
pin 6 of the 602 but absolutely zip on the output (pin 4). Beginning to
suspect the 602.

I'm at the bench at the moment so this info may be out of date by the time
that you read it.

The RX though (which seems fine) is a joy to work with although it's only
tweaked for 40m at the moment. I just need to be able to read Morse at least
as fast as I can send it...(I'm a 46 year old HF newbie and still learning
lots ;-)).

Loadsa fun.

Best,

Paul :-)
