I agree!!!!!!! How can you inspect 'em if you can't see 'em? I've
removed the flux on most boards I've built for 50 years, and haven't
caused any problems. I've also built cards that failed 10 years later
that weren't de-fluxed. Somewhere there was a bad solder joint. As I'd
reheat each joint I'd find one that bubbled and smoked. It'd work fine
after that........ Just don't drink the alcohol, it makes for very slopy
work.
