Hi

If the K2 is indicating 13.8 volts then the power supply may be outputting
14.0+ volts. The internal meter in the K2 always reads a little low because
of the reverse voltage blocking diode in the power circuit. You need to
measure the supply with an external DVM and set the voltage to 14.0 volts to
keep the internal battery topped off. The Astron is a good supply but I
don't like supplies without external voltage adjusts. The Astron should have
an internal adjustment pot if you can find it
