Make SURE the front panel pots are fully seated before you solder them.
I spent considerable effort to remove and reinsert 2 of them for this
reason.

A magnifier of some sort would have been extremely helpful.

A nearby clear spot to set food and drink is a must.  You won't want to
leave the bench because you'll be having so much fun.
