Great question Greg!!! I just finished 3345. If I had to do it over again: I
would not work from the time I got home from work until 2AM on the
kit...many mistakes because of this which I had to troubleshoot before the
damn thing worked!!! K2 works great now.....
Also, I would take my time and make sure the LCD display is exactly in the
correct postion...I didn't and mine ended up a bit lower in the window than
it should have been and shows to all the world. Now, the only fix is to
desolder many many pins and start over again....not going to happen any time
soon!
What I did right: Purchase the Spectrograph program ($25 student cost) it's
the only way to go during filter alignment!! I tried many times by ear and
wasn't even close in some cases.....
Good luck....I decided to buy the KPA100 kit, it has arrive and I haven't
even opened it yet...trying to practice my own advice and take my time this
time!!
