Hi Ron,
I did the 456 reset and linearised the PLL and reset my FIL settings. The
problem - distorted tx audio - was resolved... but I don't trust temporary
problems.
My mind isn't made up about this K2 thing. I have nothing to compare it to
but I've had a couple of issues that I have been able to resolved by doing
the 456 reset thing.
For instance, I've had the rig running it for 6 weeks now. In the first
week I had low audio (456 - reset). In the third week I had no transmit
(456 - reset). I've checked all my joints, parts, nobs, spindals and coils.
I've jumped on it, kicked it, drowned it and kissed it - even ran thru a
church naked with it to exorcise any demons inside it.
So now I figure I have another 2 weeks before the next jack jumps out of
this K2 box.
Regards,
Dave
