James, your original post came through fine to my server -- no garbage at
all.

Regarding your problem with U6, if Andy's U6 worked okay in your K2 but
the other two didn't, I would get another new U6 and try it.  If that
doesn't do it, send your K2 into Gary Surrency while it's still in
warranty.
