I have the same problem with SN 1208. And here I thought it was my hearing
aid going bad!

Subject: [Elecraft] RIT Instability

When adjusting the RIT on my older K2's, the frequency jumps around a small
amount within the RIT range rather than tuning smoothly. There is no
instability when the knob is stationary. This problem began on SN #139 after
several years of use, then SN #583.

Several questions: Is this a common problem? Is the only solution
replacing the pot's?

Thanks & 73,
