Hi Ken,
A couple of weeks ago at a hamfest I bought a Yuasa sealed rechargeable
lead-acid battery (NP7-12, 12v, 7.0Ah) from John Bee, owner of Quicksilver
Radio Products. He had a bunch there and was selling them for $8.00 each.
I'm not sure what, if any, difference there is between a SLA and a "gel
cell" battery.....the distinction is a little fuzzy to me.....perhaps others
reading the list will offer more info.
He has a website ( http://www.qsradio.com/ ) but the batteries aren't shown
on the site....as a matter of fact he had several other items for sale at
the hamfest that aren't shown (yet) on his web site. I don't know if he has
any 7ah batteries left for sale but you can email hin and ask
