I've driven the Ameritron AL-811H with the K2 barefoot, and it worked 
fine. I was able to drive it to about 300 to 400 watts depending upon 
the band. I've since purchased the KPA100, and it will of course drive 
the AL-811H to full capacity.

Regarding keying the amp, point your browser to:
http://www.elecraft.com/Apps/Amp_keying_ckt.htm and you'll find a simple 
circuit which does the job nicely.
