[Elecraft] K1 End-Fed Wire Antenna Recommendations

Janet I use a 44ft antenna wire and a 22ft counterpoise. The
antenna should go up as far as possible and then horizontal to a support.
The counterpoise runs along the floor or ground. It is probably good to
keep it elevated a few feet on whatever is available to prevent ground
losses. The total length of this antenna is 66ft which is resonant on three
of the four bands that my K1 operates on, and is, I think, the equivalent of
an off center feed dipole without any feedline. I think this presents an
easy match for the K1 autotuner. In practice it also works on 30M band.
