[Elecraft] S-meter activation on 18MHz band, on SSB mode

I have a problem with S-meter/AGC activation in the 17meter band on
my K2, but only in SSB mode.    

The S-meter indicates S9 (preamp on) with no signal, I traced this to
a broadcast station on 17.669 which is S9+40 (preamp on) and S9+20(Att
on).

I have suspect this is a leakage in the SSB module as the S-meter
activation is not visible in CW mode.

Is there a cure for this?
