Apparently Larry and Don, KD5NDB missed the post I made acknowledging pin
1 of U9 being unused in the IC.

I said that I had done the "scratchy pot" mod to my K2 and that the issue
was whether the mod left any pins of U9 floating (which I haven't yet
looked into).  Maybe they, or someone else can save me the trouble of
investigating this.
