Hi all,

I'm afraid my memory has let me down on exactly how things went (it's at
least 13 years ago) but I can remember building a QRP rig which had very low
audio output compared to a mate's copy of the same design. It all came down
to the audio amp oscillating: the cure being to add a decoupling cap to (one
of) the unconnected pin(s). I don't have a data sheet to hand, but I see
that pin 1 of the LM380 isn't connected to anything at all: maybe it's worth
placing a decoupling cap on this pin on a "deaf" K2 and seeing if that
helps?

I may be barking up the wrong tree, but it has to be worth trying: it
certainly helped on my old rig.
