Gary and I are presently working to try to find the problem. He's preparing
a set of AF and RF voltages for a known level of RF input to the ANT jack
and then tracing the signal from that point all the way to the speaker. I'm
hoping this will help me to trace out the problem, which may well be common
to many, if not all, K2s. If I/we come up with anything, please rest assured
that we'll publish it a.s.a.p.

So the answer is that, beyond tweaking with Spectrogram (which worked only
so-so in my hands) "can't be done without sophisticated expensive test
equipment" (i.e., send to Elecraft) ... at least yet?
