     There is an note in the KAF2 manual about increased audio gain by
changing R9.  It's a simple opamp stage with a gain of 1 and it
directly drives the audio amp.  There is a note about too much gain
overdriving the audio amp and causing distortion, but hey we have a
volume control don't we. =20
     You'll hardly notice the difference if you use 15k.  Start with
20k I found that to make a nice improvement.  You can compare your
change by using the in-out switch on the KAF2 board.  The resistor is
a little hard to get to because a cap is located right below it and a
resistor is to one side on the bottom so be careful.
     I didn't find any sign of distortion in the audio.  The speaker
is rated for 3 watts and the audio amp is 1 watt so you aren't going
to damage the speaker.  My AF gain control no longer is all the way
up.
