[Elecraft] mag wire stripping

     I'm having a very difficult time w/ the wire that came w/ my K2 (sn
2781).  The last time I had this much trouble tinning a toroid, the wire I
thought was heat-strippable wasn't :).  The only reliable method I've
found for this stuff is to use a needle-nose to strip the bulk of the
insulation off, dip the wire in flux, and /then/ apply the solder blob
technique.  Just to make sure I wasn't on crack, I pulled a roll of my
usual stock, and found it to blob-strip marvelously.  Same w/ the
left-over wire my K1 came w/ last year -- fb. It seems not all heat-strip
wire is created equally.
     I'll try to pick up a couple rolls of #26 locally, just to save
myself further hassle, but I figured I'd write just in case other folks
out there were also feeling confused :).
