         just to let you know this will now become part of the handout set I 
am putting together for new amateurs on the UK Foundation and 
Novice exam courses that I teach.

The UK Novice licence (just being revamped with a revised syllabus as 
the Intermediate licence) actually has a practical element where all the 
course attendees must do some soldering, including building a basic 
project such as an audio amp. Your notes will be very useful (will have 
to rewrite the last couple of pages to suit the UK audience).
