Oh, not in the least... <G>
Elecraft doesn't 'recommend' no-clean (e.g. Kester 245) because it utilizes
a minimum of rosin, and sometimes this 'assists' newbie builders in not
completing 'clean' solder joints... joints where a bit more rosin might
have allowed them to flow the solder a bit more fully. No-clean often
requires a bit more 'technique' to use well than do the RMA or RA fluxed
products.
For those who CAN solder well, and know what to look for when soldering,
245 can be used... and will produce beautiful results.
