[Elecraft] K2 SSB Mike Connector Question

I have a question?  Maybe it's obvious but I got confused on Step 4 on the
Mic configuration (pg 17 of the KSB2 Manual)

P1 is a male connector, on the left side side pins are labeled AF, PTT, DN,
etc.  Down the right side it's labeled 1, 2, 3... 8.

Do I connect a wire from the right side pins (on P1, labeled 1,2,3, ) to the
appropriate pins on the mic connector.  Are the left side pins for jumpers
as step 4 mentions.  (Do I assume AF and Pin 1 are connected for example).

I looked on the web site for additional information but didn't find anything
except the note about grounding the shell which I will do.

2nd Question I plan to connect it to match my Icom IC-746 with a HM-36 Mic.
Is Table 2 correct for Icom with a 10k resistor between the AD and 5V.
