[Elecraft] "The Toroid Guy" is great!

I can echo this comment of Tim's.
I think there's a case to be made that an Elecraft kit-builder should =
know how to wind a toroidal device - that way you will know what you are =
looking at when you're examining a device. I learned how on the NorCal =
40A and the Sierra. But once you know how you can see that there are =
ways to do it better - "The Toroid Guy" has figured out exactly that.
I have purchased toroids from him for both the K1 and K2, have checked =
every one of them against the assembly manual for the kit under =
construction, and have always found them to be exactly what was required =
by the Elecraft instructions. The leads are prepared well, and Mychael =
has always proven to be VERY responsive in the 1-2 cases where I had a =
question.
This is the way to go. There are purists out there who will insist on =
"rolling their own." More power to them. For the rest of us, there's =
"The Toroid Guy."

Hi folks - Although I wound all the toroids when I built the K1 and the =
K2, I used Mychel "The Toroid Guy" for the KPA100 and just got in a set =
for the KAT100. Toroids don't bother me - I just want to save more time =
for operating. My 2 cents worth: he is fantastic!. Not only does he =
send me a thank you note for repeat business but the new toroids were =
here so fast I could not believe it! His work is perfect! If you had =
doubts about using him - don't worry - he's super.
