[Elecraft] Can the K2's "8R HOLD" mode be madepermament?

there seems to be some confusion about Waynes query.
I think what he tried to find out is wether there is someone out there
in radioland running an application with the K2 that needs to
listen (iow switch to RX) during the QSK-Delay time of a K2 (iow while
K2 itself is in TX-mode) -and _can_not_ receive anything due to the
qsk-delay
time-.
What kind of application could that be? Someone out there?
If there is nobody, 8R Hold could be made permanent/save code/minimize
calls
for support.
