[Elecraft] Curious 1% Resistors

Hi

Something else to consider is metal film resistors typically have more in=
ductance so they may not work as well or at all in some RF circuits. Elec=
raft is already using 1% resistors where the accuracy is required so I do=
 not think anything would be gained by using them in general, other than =
increasing the cost.

The use of 1% resistors in place of 5% wouldn't hurt. For the most part, =
it =20
would mainly serve to increase the cost of the unit slightly. There would=
 =20
be little to no benefit in most cases. In the areas of power metering, =20
voltage and current measurement, and SWR detection circuits, 1% resistors=
 =20
might improve the accuracy of the measurements but that's about it.

Have fun building your K2.
