If you happen to find yourself in the unenviable position of going to the
emergency room or doctor for stitches, it has been my experience (the YL
is an accident magnet) that the "kits" they use for these procedures
include a set of nice scisors, a couple of different scalples, small
tweezers and a few different types of 'stats. (Not all 'stats are
HEMOSTATS.)
The cost of this "kit" ends up on your (or your insurance companies) bill
so, technically, you own them. Simply ask for them. That's all it took
for me.
