Don, Bill and Ron,

Thanks for the information on the capacitor.  I found it!    I remember
looking at that particular capacitor when I was trying to find the one for
the freq. counter and wondering...gee where does this go?  Looks like I
learned something... kit building is definitely educational.   I did manage
to homebrew a battery booster earlier this year for my qrp rig, except I
reversed the voltage thru the qrp rig resulting in a blown audio amp, op amp
and the final transistor.  That was a learning experience I wish not to
repeat.   Will be careful with the heat too.
