If you work CW, the audio filter is quite useful, if not essential.  When
the audio filter is turned off, its low-pass filter even improves the
audio quality of SSB signals received.

If you don't have a station clock (as in most portable QTH situations),
you'll find the RTC very handy also.

Two features for the price of one makes it a good buy.
