I got and built the KAF2/RTC a few weeks ago.
I have been  really surprised by the  results. I don't know what a Dsp rig
sounds like, but I can tell you that on 40 m. at night, you can get a guy
out of the QRM like anything. The voice is slightly changed (sometimes it's
a good thing !) a bit deeper - on the AF1 position, but on AF2  there is a
noticeable attenuation but this position can be by- passed by a jumper (
don't loose it when you get the kit, it's real small ).
The clock is OK: it took about ten sec.only (fast) since september 15th.
when I set it first. Just too bad, you loose the time  display when you
switch on to transmit ! A real plus anyway !
