[Elecraft] No power on K2 when switching on

My K2 has worked flawlessly until I think I screwed this one up. While
working on page 24 of the KAT100 manual (changing out U6 on the control
board and U1 on the RF board) I also decided to accomplish the sidetone
mod I put off for so long. Put it all together and no power on with
switch on. Yes I have power to the radio. But it is as if no power is
connected at all. So I thought I had a bad microcontroller and swapped
1.07 out for the old 1.05. Still no power to radio. 

Only then I noticed my flying connection for C24 on the control board
"flew" (Arrgghh!!!) into the AF board (shorting to one of the pins of
the KAF2 microcontroller). I bent the flying connection out of the way.
But still no result. Tried changing out the new MCU with the old one
with no result. 

So what happened? Did I damage the both new and old IOC microprocessors
(and maybe the MCU too)? Will this cause the radio simply not to turn
on? Is there somewhere else I could look?
