[Elecraft] Using spectrogram - again

Hello all
How significant is it to have AGC turned on (fast/slow)  or turned off during measurements with spectrogram?
Also - does the AF stage alone (no audio filter here)  contribute in any manner (degrade, improve, filter? etc')  any
part of the audio spectrum?
