[Elecraft] Single-crystal phase noise considerations?

A question for K2 gurus ...

When using just one crystal in the PLL reference oscillator
what improvement in the K2's phase noise performance (TX & RX)
can be expected?

Without "de-Q", phase noise inherent in the crystal oscillator
itself will no doubt be diminished, but is any improvement likely
to be masked by jitter/noise derived from the PLL?

Phase noise is a difficult parameter for amateurs to measure.
