The best connection points at the K2 case are the holes for the XVTR. You 
need only two banana jacks. I use here the current balun published in the 
"QRP Homebrewer" issue April 2002 by Charles Greene, W1CG, with two small 
modifications. The core here is a FT82-43 (instead of a FT114-43) and only 
7 turns (instead of 13). The balun is mounted on a small board. These board 
is mounted on the top cover of the K2 on the battery holder screw. Please 
see the pictures at my homepage. The connection from the balun to the KAT2 
is a small koax.

At the time I have the article of the modified balun only in German (do you
