K4VX published in July 2002 QST, pg 40, an article on building a linear 
loaded 40M dipole.  While this issue is not at my fingertips, the overall 
length was much shorter than the nominal 66'.  The loading sections, built 
from 450 ohm line were quite close to the main (longest) section -- if I 
recall, the longest section was actually threaded through (centered) in 
the 450 ohm window line.
