When I first opened Spectrogram 7.1 I noticed frequency was on the vertical
scale and time in seconds was on the horizontal scale. This means the
passband was turned sideways and scrolled from right to left. I set the
passband markers to 400 - 2500 Hz and saw that these were positioned
horizontally. With the noise generator putting in a signal, the display was
yellow showing a scrolling bandpass of -67db. I could not see how this could
be very useful. I then went to the Function button on the toolbar and went
down to Spectrum Level Calibration. This automatically calibrates the levels
of your settings and then goes into the vertical Spectrogram screen we are
used to seeing. I will leave it to the experts to come up with the proper
settings. I guess I am a little slow, but I just wanted to let everyone what
I found out. Roy Morris W4WFB K2/100 #2225
