Like you, I have not experienced any problem with drift but I am anxious 
to update my K2 to the latest spec.  One thought was to obtain a T44-7 
core and attempt to wind my own, but #34 AWG (0.0063") falls midway 
between 37 SWG (0.0067") and 38 SWG (0.0060") and would be hard going to 
wind with 90 turns.

So please count me in!

No, not yet, but I hopeful to do so soon.  If my calculations serve me 
correctly, release of the K60X 5MHz transverter for the K2 is imminent. 
I have e-mailed Wayne for an update of the latest situation on its 
release and am awaiting his reply.  My thought was to order both the 
K60X and the BFO upgrade at the same time.
